The Kuta Beach Heritage Hotel, Bali – Managed by ACCOR has been hosting the blood donation with its staff’s member as the participants on August 14th 2015. The drive was led by the General Manager of the hotel, Mr. Thierry Gasnier with total of 43 Staffs participated. The drive resulted in 32 bags of blood being collected for the Indonesian Red Cross for use at the regional blood center located at Bali’s Sanglah General Hospital. The program aims to encourage hotel employees to participate in social responsibility initiatives.
The campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of donating blood and move Bali closer to meeting its blood supply needs. All blood collected through the blood drives goes directly to the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) located at Sanglah Hospital Bali.
As part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility programme, staff members actively participated in this event in order to ‘give back’ to the local community. Blood donors receive free mini-medical exams on site including information about their pulse rate, blood pressure, colesterol, uric acid and osteoporosis level.
It is worth mentioning that the campaign was concluded with 32 blood units collected from staff and Indonesian Red Cross will distribute these life-saving donations free of charge to needy people.
